I'm sorry to be missing the memorial concert for Sarah Morgan at Winchester Guildhall today. Sarah founded the Winchester Community Choir some years ago (my wife is a founder member) and brought the joy of singing a wide repertoire of music to those without formal musical training. From the list of choirs taking part in this all-afternoon event, she clearly had a transformational effect on others in the area, and enriched the lives of many. The remarkable line-up is ample testimony to the respect with which she was held in the musical community. I'm sure it will be a wonderful event.
